Look Ma, new song!
You know it’s been nearly two years since we released our last EP Tobacco and Firearms? I’ve written so many songs since then, I don’t remember how some of them go. And I probably never will.
Lost songs… kind of a poetic thought. Especially when one considers the likely multitude of those forgotten bits of angsty narcissism.
On second thought, maybe those songs disappear for a reason. On third thought, they are never truly gone, for “the ether” is just a place as any.
Anyhow, we’re going to be releasing some free downloadable homemade recordings in the lead-up to the release of our next album later this year. We’re gonna post a lot of stuff that isn’t slated for inclusion on studio albums– alternate versions of songs, covers, b-sides, stupid garbage we think is funny, etc.
The My Three Dads project promotes positive reinforcement through its innovative techniques of promiscuous paternity. Within the band, each K-Mack is every other K-Mack’s legal male guardian. Therefore, we’re going to amp up our father-son-father-son-father-son time and record stuff to periodically release until our next album is done.
At least, I think that’s what we’re gonna do. We’ve sort of already started, but I haven’t checked with the three other horsemen about announcing this publicly as a thing.
Meh, the worst I can expect is a band spanking.
